A real American scam is believing that you need to monetize your hobbies. Any full time job should pay enough to sustain a person. Everyone deserves to have free time away from work to enjoy whatever they like without having to turn their free time into another income stream

The Republicans are fascists, but the Neoliberal Democrats, all Democrats save 2-5 spoiler the DNC hates more than Republicans, are fascist enablers that play pretend that funnelling the value of the nation's labor to the top few percent somehow won't lead to fascism.

Yes, Neoliberal and centrist Democrats are closer to Republicans than progressive Democrats, but they are still a mile away when it comes to market deregulation to enable said unrestrained capitalism and the cult of personality that Trump is pushing

The older I get, the less energy I have to pursue my passions in my downtime. When I was young, it was easy. I'd cook all night learning new things (mostly tech). Now, I just wanna rest. I mournfully look at the books that I bought last summer with fun stuff I'd like to learn. Sigh.
Same here. Just with three kids added to the mix so I don't even really have that "downtime that I'd like to use for hobbies but do use to rest" anymore.
