Sofirn SP10 Pro. Small enough to be in my pocket every day with my keys but bright enough to be useful.

It WOULD be a D4V2, dual channel, with one pair of 2700k sst20, and one pair of 6500k sst20. I just bought it a few weeks ago, but the button died on day 1. Hank is paying for it to be fixed but I had to ship it to Hawaii to do it. Still waiting.

So instead it's an old school D4 with some outdated version of anduril, 6500k sst20.

I like warm tints, used to EDC a 2700k d4v2 until it was stolen. But I thought I'd give tint ramping a try. I liked it while it lasted!

Oh yeah this wasn't meant to be a complaint, just a bummer 🤷‍♂️

I'm sure I'll get some hate, but honestly my phone most days as I am an office drone presently. Previously it was a Olight H2R with the "warm", but low CRI, XHP35.

On weekends I tend to carry an OG Frelux Synergy with a 95 cri warm nicha. They don't list it on their website anymore, but it's pretty similar to the 1.5. Very compact/pocketable, nice and floody, and more than bright enough for EDC use.

Flashlight isn't part of my EDC but my work carry always includes a Ledlenser P5 because I have 3 of them and I havent paid for a single one. Also, I just like that it takes a single AA battery and the only features are on/off switch and an adjustable beam.

Lumintop Tool AAA, the paint is half scratched off because it lives with keys every day for over a year. Love it, it's my first "expensive" flashlight (more than $8).

Ol’ reliable, my SC31 Pro SST-40 5000K. Had it about 5 years now, finally got an 18350 tube for it. Still Anduril 1, still a great light. Also have my Garmin Fenix 7 pro as backup, flashlight on your wrist is handier than you’d think :)

@D45 @flashlight I always carry my 3000 k brass TS10 in my pants pocket. I almost always carry my backpack with me and there are three more light coming with it : one 519A 4500 k DD (so more 3500 k) modded MT21C on the strap, one spare silver TS10 4000 k clipped at the top of the main compartment to light the inside, and one MAO 4000 k HD10 for FOH work in theatres.

It's been about five years I think I've just been rocking an LD70 Mini. I'm almost never anywhere properly dark tbh so my flashlight obsession is kind of dead in the water.

[–] D45 2 points 2 days ago (1 children)

Theres a large part of this community that buy a light and keep it until it dies, realistically people like me dont need 100+ flashlights

Good to know I'm not alone in this. I just love carrying around the power to make daylight. My endgame EDC would ideally be a Gandalf staff replica with the power to daze a dragon on the wing in broad daylight. Until then I'm happy.

The RovyVon Aurora A5 (G3) in my pocket with an SD. Love this little guy. I've actually killed one with the washing machine (I lost the USB plug after I'd pulled it out to dry it after a previous washing machine incident, and so it got washed without the plug which I don't recommend) and replaced with a Fenix E05R.

That Fenix has a very cool screwed in with an o-ring deal for waterproofing and WILL survive the washing machine, but, I didn't love it the same, and gave it away so I could buy another Aurora A5.

There's a few variants of the A5 - mine is glow in the dark - strong enough that if you charge it with the inbuilt UV led you can still find it in your tent all night, simple interface, good choices for brightness, which it remembers between cycles, and standard USB C charging. Great stuff.

On my keys, the Olight i1R 2 - Mine does not look like that picture! It's been jingling against my keys going on three years. You can still see it's desert tan around the barrel, but the knurled parts (it's a twisty with two brightness levels) have a delicious tan/aluminum patina that makes me smile every time I dump my keys in the bowl. 150 lumens out of something the size of a pinky on a band saw is the sort of thing that satisfyingly impresses little kids.

I know these seem commercial and simple to real lightheads who know about led/tint combos (my A5 rocks a Nichia 219C), but these things give me pleasure every day and cost very little. They are both great choices as gifts for any muggles in your life.
