The 100km tunnel "is expected to reduce the journey time from two hours to 20 minutes."

20 minutes for 100km(60 miles)? That's moving pretty quick.

180 MPH. The train that runs through the tunnel between the UK and mainland EU hits 200 MPH in places.

This is 100km. The Bering Straight separating Russia and Alaska is 83 km (52 mi).

There have been many proposals to build a bridge or tunnel to cross it. China recently (2014?) considered construction of a "China-Russia-Canada-America" railroad line that would include construction of a 200-kilometer-long (120 mi) underwater tunnel that would cross the Bering Strait. What is the point of this project? Wouldn't it be 1000 times cheaper to just run a Viru Valge pipeline from Estonia to Finland?

Meanwhile in the US we can’t get a single high speed rail line. It’s pathetic.

This project is still far away from becoming reality. The Finnish railway company "VR" is somewhat of a joke among the Finns because their trains stop working if there's for example snow or leaves on the tracks

What a beautiful website design

Probably won't happen from what I've gathered reading local news both Estonian and finnish.
