Good signs! My favorites:

"You can enjoy your vacation when we can enjoy our democracy."

"Go ski in Russia, traitor."

"If you're going to fuck the country, we're going to make it very uncomfortable for you."

I saw one that said "JD Vance skis in blue jeans"

Remember to mask at protests and actions like this, and consider leaving your phone at home if that is an option for you, especially if you aren't going alone.

The purpose of masking is twofold: 1. You can protect your identity somewhat from pictures (such as the unedited ones in the OP) and doxxing, and possibly prevent some facial recognition tech from working on you.

And 2. Illness prevention. We are facing multiple respiratory viruses and pollution and other factors that make masking a choice that supports health not just in yourself but in your loved ones and communities, and as a reminder some of these people are dealing with health issues already that you may not understand or experience but making choices that show solidarity with disabled folks and others who take prevention precautions and reduce your risk of spreading illness that could further disable them (or you).

The purpose of leaving your phone at home is also to prevent surveillance. There are many bad actors with access to data that comes from your phone and how you use it, who would love to be able to tie you to something like this if a future bill passed or executive order signed criminalizes protest.

If anyone would like help patching data privacy vulnerabilities or coming up with ideas for other actions to take I have resources and beginner knowledge on such topics, and am willing to take some time to hear you out and help how I can if you seem to me to be acting in good faith. We can all take steps to correct the problem, however small, and putting our heads together leads to better outcomes.

Something people don't realize is it's quite easy to photoshop something else onto that sign. Something you don't want your face associated with. Then publish that with the name they got from reverse image search and some text saying they photoshopped the pictures on their social media because they got backlash.

If you wear a mask you interrupt this cycle. You can drop your pictures from social media and deny it was ever you.

As a Canadian...contact this person. Learn the ways to protect yourself. We are on your side and will fight with you but you must protect yourself to remain in the fight.

Thank you for the endorsement, if that is the right term, I am just a human being who has suffered and witnessed others suffering and would like to see change and finally has the time and physical/emotional/mental/spiritual energy to increase the size of the action I'm taking and the support and solidarity I am offering to be more in line with my values and hopefully to be more effective. Anyone can make positive changes, it starts with a choice.

That is what is needed. So many are saying they can't or don't have the energy. Individual actions become much greater when many put them into practice. Thank you for your resistance.

This is what he needs protecting from…a few people with signs?

As a Canadian... it's better than what we are seeing from the vast majority of Americans. Any resistance is resistance.

Thank you for this - as an American I mostly hear “nothing will change” and it’s disheartening to say the least. I see how frustrated you all are too, and you can’t even do anything directly about it. Anyway, thanks for your support, it means a lot.

I’m totally behind what they’re doing, it’s great. I just can’t believe his reaction.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 11 hours ago

Yes. They hurt his feelings. 😔

LETS GO!!! I want to be proud I'm American and these 3 are the start!

Why not strand him on the ski lift?

[–] jaybone 4 points 17 hours ago (2 children)

That looks like a graveyard. Was Vance actually there?

[–] [email protected] 8 points 17 hours ago* (last edited 17 hours ago)

Bro! It’s Vermont! So yeah it’s actually possible the motorcade passed a historic grave yard and a few bed and breakfast’s

[–] [email protected] 0 points 15 hours ago

There were protesters in 2 towns along the road to the mountain, so these could've been taken anywhere along the road. And there are plenty of old graveyards that directly abut roads.

Maybe next they'll be sending him sternly worded letters.

[–] [email protected] 2 points 15 hours ago

He might just drop dead of fright if that happened. They evacuated to an undisclosed location instead of skiing because of the protesters.
