We are gonna need an AltSCOTUS.
Roberts agreed to put the order on hold and told the grant recipients waiting for their funding to tell the court by Friday why the order should go forward.
His decision came after the D.C. Circuit Court of Appeals rejected the administration's request. The panel of three judges, all of whom were appointed by Democratic presidents, said the federal judge's order is not subject to review by a higher court at this stage of the litigation.
Roberts did not give a reason for his decision.
Corruption at the Supreme Court on display again
Roberts agreed to put the order on hold and told the grant recipients waiting for their funding to tell the court by Friday why the order should go forward.
Because obligated money is obligated you fucking fascist enabling fuckwad.
Agent Krasnov doesn't pay his debts, now neither does the US. Its a warning to all who would do business with or in the US that payment is now optional.
Well said.
Okay, so the judges have no right to do their jobs.
We're fucked
Not at all: they're doing their job alright. The long-term MAGA agenda of buying judges right and left is finally paying off. They managed to subvert the judicial branch: the MAGA judges are doing exactly what they've been told to do.
What you want to say is that Lady Justice has lost her blindfold.
I do wonder how much of this is SCOTUS's attempt at avoiding the question of exactly what happens when they give a ruling that Trump doesn't like and Trump responds by ignoring it and telling them to go fuck themselves. Because at this point, any ruling not in Trump's favor is going to lead to that question, which risks exposing the fact that they have no actual enforcement mechanism, relegating them to merely an advisory panel with no real power. Which basically leads to a situation where this court was most likely going to rule in Trump's favor anyway because it (at least, for now) is in line with their own interests, but really can't rule against him even in the off chance they want to without risking the entire house of cards crumbling down on their heads.
all three branches now squarely corrupt, and at the beck and call of a fascist dictator. we are done up like a kipper. only disease, famine, suffering and death are next. if you think i'm exagerating, i'm not sure what world you were living in between 2020 - 2022, only a million americans died then
