Their baguettes are as far from France as you are.

Don't remind me.

I've had some pretty awful baguette ordinaire in France, I bet they're not that different

When I went to Panera they had bread as one of the sides so I would get my sandwich with a side of bread.

I'll ordered a bread bowl with a side of bread. Just not feeling the apple or chips.

Don't forget your heart attack lemonade that has 4 or 5 times more caffiene than a Red Bull but is marketed as equivalent to 'a dark roast coffee'.

I heard Panera is a rip off and terrible.

I'll buy a loaf of sour dough. It's always better then the local grocery and their aren't like mom and pop bakeries anymore.

The bread looks good. I've been trying to make bread at home since the sliced bread from the grocery store never molds, and it weirds me out.

It's a complete ripoff, basically any grocery store that has an actual bakery offers roughly equivalent quality bread at far, faaar lower prices, often the same situation with sandwiches if the grocery store has an active deli.

I mean, I like it but it's definitely not a fine dining establishment. It's ok.

One of the big things with a place like that is it has a sort of "coffeeshop" vibe where it's ok to just hang out on your laptop or whatever instead of immediately leaving after you're done eating.
