I understand vegans' passion, but most people just do not care about chickens.
Christianity
Discussion about Christianity by Christians and those who are curious.
Rule #1. Anti-Christian and anti-Bible statements will not be tolerated. Constructive criticism of Christianity is OK, however.
Rule #1.1. The measure for what is considered Christian, as has been the case in the faith since the earliest days, will be the faith proclaimed in the Nicene Creed.
Am I understanding correctly that you mean you believe exploiting animals for their bodies is morally wrong? I think your assertion is correct. I'd rather let chickens live or not be bred into a lifetime of suffering even if I'm the odd man out. Sometimes society is wrong in the way they approach moral issues, human treatment of animals being one of them. This documentary really opened my eyes, it's called Dominion https://youtu.be/LQRAfJyEsko
No, I meant I understood them.
I'm somewhere in-between. I care about dogs, horses maybe. I couldn't care less about chickens. I find people simply asserting what's "moral" to be a vacuous argument.
I hear you. Chickens can feel pain want to live. That's why I give them moral consideration.
