That's the second post I've seen claiming 3k fired Air Traffic Controllers; but nobody's got a source for that info...

Fascism has come to America, wrapped in a flag and carrying a cross.
Documenting the crimes and corruption of the 47th president of the United States and his fascist minions.

Liberalism, noun - "A political theory founded on the natural goodness of humans and the autonomy of the individual and favoring civil and political liberties, government by law with the consent of the governed, and protection from arbitrary authority."
Doesn't give the numbers you want but it's about the firing. Greatly upset a functioning system and you are responsible for the aftermath.
Thats the exact article I saw referenced the first time. I can't find the post now, so I'm pretty sure the OP deleted it because they also claimed 3k firings. (I'll edit and add I link if I come across it again)
There's plenty of news about firing various heads/leaders; just no reference to mass-firing the actual ATC agents. That part specifically seems to be a baseless claim.
Greatly upset a functioning system and you are responsible for the aftermath.
Definitely no arguments there.
Firing the heads of the TSA and Coast Guard, or meddling with aircraft safety investigation boards, doesn't translate into anything that would impact ATC controllers at this type of individual level within this type of timeframe.
I would love as much as anybody else to blame this on Trump, but I haven't seen anything that makes me think this is at all related to Trump. I think it's just an omen.
Edit: Well, maybe I stand corrected: https://gizmodo.com/the-faa-has-no-clear-leader-during-the-worst-air-disaster-in-16-years-2000556932
It’s hard to say that the hiring freeze and general lack of any positive-side action to fix what was already a problem, would have had any impact within this kind of timeframe, but it could have.
You could also argue the rapid changes and uncertainty of their jobs may have added undue stress and anxiety for ATC workers. Which could contribute to mistakes.
