Friendly debate is encouraged.
When posting a song use the format of "Band - Song [FFO: band1, band2]". This just helps keep things uniform. The "FFO" (For Fans Of) section is optional. It is for lesser known bands. (Stole this idea from the Death Metal community).
No racist, sexist, blah blah blah... you get the idea. This is not the place to discuss sensitive matters, after all metal should unite!
No NSFW content (apart from songs/album covers. If they do include NSFW content, please mark the posts as such).
Post in English only (obviously you can post songs in different languages).

US Heavy/Power Metal gods opened their peak album with a speed metal song and it fuckin melts your face off. This whole album kicks ass, minus the misogynistic track number 7.

Unpopular opinion: I hate everything about this band.
They are the actual posers early 80's thrash used to rage against.
There are quite a few things I can't stand in metal, and Manowar embodies about all of them: 'epic' hollow macho poser singalong bombastic sexist pig shit. And one of them is a pedo, if I'm not mistaken.
Bring on the downvotes.

Oh shit I had never even looked past just the music but it doesnt take much to convince me really. Always thought it was a little weird a lot of their music was directed towards "hating posers" themselves, like the opening to Thousand Arrows. Projection much? Lol. Also the pedo shit I dont fucking condone, so yea.

Thanks for commenting this, I'm definitely gonna regard these guys more cautiously in the future.

The music itself to me is also everything I can't stand in metal (or anything else for that matter). Power metal is obnoxious to me, the so called epicness drives me insane, it's so fucking empty and lazy.
The singalong choirs, they get on my nerves, stadium party shit. And then claiming to be true metal... They are like 4 Trumps in a band that don't even know what a bunch of narcissistic clowns they are...
Sorry for venting so hard, but had to get it out.

Lol it's all good dude. Power metal isnt my number 1 cup of tea either, but ehhh I like what I like.

Rest assured I havent spent money towards manowar at all ever, was gifted the kings of metal cd as I was starting my metal journey.

Ah yeah, no problem mate, anyone can like whatever they like!
I just don't understand sometimes, and it's also good to get some opposing opinions instead of everybody crawling up each other's butts the whole time, just globally speaking.
