So is it possible to bridge to different platforms via XMPP (similar to what Matrix does) ??

  1. If yes then how does one bridge
  2. If kinda yes & no then what are the workarounds
  3. If absolutely no then should we develop a bridging capability

Yes there are some bridges like that for xmpp as well. It used to be very popular, but bridges like that break very often which has soured the enthusiasm of it in the xmpp ecosystem quite a bit. Recently there has been a renewed effort via the Slidge gateway framework however.

I'm using matridge to bridge some Matrix channels I'm following to XMPP. Can't say anything negative. Works perfectly well for my use case.

Used Sligde with WhatsApp bridge. The bridge is fine. But WhatsApp requires a login on its app very few days without notice (not a fixed schedule). This defeats the purpose of the bridge which for me is to not rub WhatsApp on my phone.
