The PM didn't under-sell AI's potential
I love how the it isn't even considered that he over-sold AI's potential. Can't wait for roads to be closed for weeks because the AI mistook a puddle for a pothole.

The pothole thing has to be one of the dumbest arguments.
There's no problems with reporting potholes.
The delays in fixing them are because councils are skint and have to plan when best to fix them to minimise impact.
Hey, those councils won't be skint when we, *checks notes*, hand over several billion £ to American big tech.
Sorry, we need to give another 5 billion to Israel and place young British soldiers in the region for a nation that has attacked Britian and actively disavows British orders
I know this isn't the main point, but governments don't go bankrupt in its own currency unless it wants to. Cause it can create money, like it now will create 14 billion to hand to tech mates.
What is really constricting government is real things, like the power, water, chips and such that will be wasted in this boondoogle.
This is good to know, because when they wasted those real world things and the billions are tucked away in private bank accounts, they will claim that the money is gone and now kids must work for their food, the old folks home must be sold of, etc. But that will also be a lie and all the promts and all the chatbots can't make it true.
The video that's linked in the original post goes into some of that. From the misappropriation of money during the pandemic, inflation Vs interest, failure to tax that misappropriated money back. I just borrowed his click baity title.
It's a fucking commodity and not a single player is making money on it except Nvidia. Anyone can pirate content for training, it's just a question of having the hardware to train/run the models
