I love the scale and aesthetic of the machinery in the background. Isn't there another artist or genre of digital art that has this kind of gigantic scifi constructs roaming through scenic backdrops? I wonder if there is a community for it like there was on Reddit?

I don't know, sorry. Perhaps, japanese mecha ?

Lemmy don't have enough users to sustain such niche community. That said, you can start it yourself, but you wouldn't have much interaction.

I was going to say Dune, but that's unfair, it's more nomadic than Dune.

The Fremen are fairly nomadic, though often on maker-back. The spice harvester in the background is straight out of Dune too.
