I've gotten so worn out hearing about this man.

He'll be charged with some stuff, acquitted of other stuff. Some people will be really happy about what happens to him, some will insist it's a with hunt.

He'll never see the inside of a jail cell, or the oval office again but he'll keep dominating headlines every few weeks/months.

All I want anymore is for him to disappear and never be spoken of again.

ugh it sucks. Consider this though. We are seeing the consequences of actions taken by Gerald Ford. When he let Nixon off the hook it spoke volumes about the consequences of committing high crimes in office. Then Reagan and Bush sr committed literal treason and got off scott free and we even elected Bush to office. Then his son lied to the American people and thrust us into multiple pointless wars where he himself and his staff committed multiple war crimes. Many now thinks it's cute he hands out candies at public events and paints. We have allowed our elected officials to shed any semblance of accountability and betray our trust at the deepest levels for half a century. Each one of these people should have been held to account and if Trump is not then there is no rule of law left in America. It may already be to late but we cannot have another Gerald Ford moment now.

Yeah, the fact that DOJ will apparently never ever bring charges against him for all the illegal stuff he did while in office because they really want the President/their boss to be above the law shows pretty conclusively that they don't really want to reckon with any of the deeper problems Trump's administration demonstrated we have

So, while they make a big show out of going after him for things he did as a former president and dumbass January 6 rednecks, we're still just at risk of a wannabe dictator becoming President and using the unconstrained powers of that office to pursue personal and ideological vendettas and enrich themselves by funneling taxpayer money into their own pockets and selling US policy off to the highest bidders

He is going to raise so much money off of this.

The best part about this whole indictment to me is that they redacted portions of the classification markings themselves. Dude took shit that's so sensitive we can't even know exactly how sensitive it is.

Hah, my app showed it at the top of my feed with a time stamp of “1m” so I figured it had been posted a minute before I refreshed, not a month before. My bad!
