I've only seen it happen once more in the last 11 years of playing.

You can still do it, I have team killed planes that way a few years ago but not happened for years so I thought they removed it.

I think it would have the be the rarest legit one.

Technically you can get tank kills on bluewater ships, but that requires custom games to ever get so I probably wouldn't count it.

Edit: High-calibre TD kills might also be comparibly rare nowadays - things like the Bkan than can't aim upwards. It used to be suprisingly easy to kill planes with them, but since the HE changes years ago, they're pure RNG.

I've hit a fighter plane with the Jagdpanzer I once. It was diving for me since I was an easy target, open top, no MGs.

Never managed to replicate that.

I killed a BF-110 with an ISU-122. I had to find the clip to remember the exact plane/tank. Watching every part of the plane fly away from the fuselage as fast as possible is hilarious. He still landed a bomb basically on top of me so it was a trade.

In my case it was a hail mary, a perfect lineup since the guy was straight diving for me, and dumb luck. It was my third shot, the enemy was on the second strafing run, I managed to defend the first by turning into it and I needed to continously point myself at him, since my SPG had only front armor. Might as well shoot back.

It was also hella satisfying, the HE hit smashed the plane to the ground in front of me in pieces. I'm sad I didn't record it.
