I'm looking into buying a premium to grind German ground(and German air but I'm pretty settled on the Ju-288C for that.) And the RU 251 seems like a decent choice.

My german lineup is only up to 5.3- I have the first proper Panther and the first Tiger so it'll be awhile before I have a lineup to back the RU 251 up.

After buying it I'll only have like 300 GE leftover, and pack vehicles aren't an option.

Gaijin released yesterday the trailer for the new update, Kings of Battle. New vehicles such as F-111 Aardvark, Object 775 and AMX-10P are being showcased in it.

The Vickers Mk.11 is a prototype wheeled combat vehicle developed by British company Vickers as part of a private venture in response to an Australian requirement in the 1990s, this vehicle will arrive in the game with the next War Thunder update!

I started playing WT in late 2013 and nearly daily played since 2015. I play mainly arcade but also realistic ground and 8vs8 squadbattles. I prefer mainly low tier, ww2 tanks but very rarely play cold war 7.0-7.3 stuff.

For some reason, I never tried simulator battles in all my years. Maybe it's because I am burned by realistic, which I absolutely do not enjoy. Maybe it's all the cheaters or ULQ players, but I die 80% of time by enemy hidden behind buildings some 700m away from my spawn.

But holy shit is simulator battles different! Here you don't get any labels, have to actually use your knowledge and brain to identify targets and I feel like only genuine players play that, for fun. Seeing Sherman's running around everywhere then use logic and binoculars to actually see the marking is satisfying.

What are your thoughts about realistic Vs simulator? What do you enjoy more?

Hi I'm an old-timer who have played some WT several years ago. I wanted to try it out again, but heard that there was a controversy because Gaijin is a scumbag. Was this problem solved?

It seems like I can’t view, or can’t see any content on this community on any other instance, only my account on Lemmy.world. Does anyone know why that is? I know the other instances I’m using are federated and I know Lemmy.world is too so I’m just confused why it doesn’t seem to be working.

Not a direct War Thunder post but I've migrated to Lemmy, I look forward to seeing thia grow!

We need more than 24 people here to make a functioning community on this site. Gonna be hard to compete with r/warthunder but I think it’s doable. Reach out to different players in game or discords your in to grow the user base!
