Elections are a tool of the bourgeoisie to suppress the will of the people. Our vanguard party will take absolute control and act in interest of the people. To prevent bourgeoisie propaganda to be spread, we must censor anything that we deem to be reactionary. Everyone must learn our great ideology of our father Karl Marx, and Vladimir Lenin, and this shall be known as Marxism-Leninism. Anyone refusing to learn, anyone still holding on to their old ideology are secret western spies attempting to undermine our utopia. We must allow ourselves to be guided by our ~~fuhrer~~ ahem I mean, chairman, and do everything they says to acomplish this utopia. Its for the greater good! Pinky promise. 😉

I will implement democracy and those who are against it I will crush, I will silence.

More like an il duce. Lenin's idea of democracy (in practice) is a lot like Mussolini's idea of "democracy." I don't think Hitler ever tried to pretend like Germany was democratic

Explanation: The Bolsheviks gained power through a coup in Russia to create the Soviet Union, whereas in the free elections that actually happened, they didn't even get a quarter of the vote

also the governance in Ukraine that Lenin desperately wanted to crush was anarcho-communist (called by most Ukrainians anarchism because communism as a term has been so heavily associated with the real bad times)

.world defederated from hexbear and lemmygrad (as did blahaj.zone)

[–] zloubida 12 points 2 days ago (1 children)

I was not sure this decision was the right one. But the experience on Lemmy is far better without them, so I guess it was.

You’re entitled to believe whatever you want, but when your political ideology includes supporting/encouraging/performing violence towards anyone who doesn’t agree with you, then yeah, you’re no longer invited to be a part of civil discussion.

The election ended and they shut down the bot farms

I think they finally got it into their head that they simply aren't welcome amongst decent folk, other than a few stragglers.

I still havent been able to block an entire instance (hexbear) yet even though Summit shows the option (it doesn't seem to work)

[–] [email protected] 8 points 2 days ago (1 children)

I just chose an instance that blocked grad and hexbear. You can’t manually block them.

[–] [email protected] 3 points 2 days ago (1 children)

Ive blocked nearly every hexbear community individually.. every now and again a new one pops up and i block it. last one was "cats"

[–] [email protected] 6 points 2 days ago

but blocking the community dont block the users.
