This is great stuff, I've heard of em before, but not had chance to check them out on a larger scale yet.
Thrash Metal
Place to post and discuss THRASH METAL!
RULES (MUST READ):
- Please keep things relevant to thrash (death thrash, blackened thrash, crossover, speed metal etc. are permitted).
- Please search before posting a song, do not post the same song over and over.
- Friendly debate is encouraged.
- When posting a song use the format of "Band - Song [FFO: band1, band2]". This just helps keep things uniform. The "FFO" (For Fans Of) section is optional. It is for lesser known bands. (Stole this idea from the Death Metal community).
- No racist, sexist, blah blah blah... you get the idea. This is not the place to discuss sensitive matters, after all metal should unite!
- No NSFW content (apart from songs/album covers. If they do include NSFW content, please mark the posts as such).
- Post in English only (obviously you can post songs in different languages).
- But most of all have fun XD.

Sick af song dude, I'm gonna have to check out more.
Cant wait to give this a listen when I'm done with work - havent seen anyone recommend Anacrusis but i have heard of em.
Why I will stop using and posting Spotify links: Article 1 and Article 2
Man this sucks, when does everything always go this way? I just want a decent platform for grouping together and recommending music i havent heard of before. Time to look for something else to give my private info to, sigh.
Yeah well the sad truth is that all music streaming services are fucked. Even the ones that aren't (e.g. Tidal) will be once they get a monopoly or get big enough. Sadly the only way to avoid this is to spend ages sailing the high seas or listen to physical media. I stopped using YT a while back because of google. Bandcamp seems good so far, but does not have many songs overall. Imo there is fuck all point in me moving elsewhere. No where else has that much underground metal (other than YT, but is shit quality and also ran by google), so I am remaining with Spotify for now. Even if I moved my massive library to Tidal (many songs would be missing) it's only a matter of time before they become enshittified. Really sucks don't it :( , I'm starting a vinyl collection (even tho I'm practically broke XD).
Havent heard of Tidal before but then again I haven't started searching for alternatives to music streaming yet. Maybe I'll start including links to that too if the posts I upload have relevant stuff there.
It's literally Spotify but has lossless audio (FLACs), and less selection. I don't know that many older bands/labels will be on there. Maybe if you did venture over, let me know if it is as good as Spotify.
Lossless?? Ohhhshit! Looks like that'll be my priority, cant wait to check it out!
Here's this post's track on Tidal: https://tidal.com/track/117746075?u
Good thing to note is there doesnt seem to be any bullshit trackers like Shodify. The "?u" at the end makes it a universal link meaning you can open it it anywhere, but if you removed the ?u it becomes Tidal only.
Tidal seems to be subscription only, but they offer 1 month trial free for first time sign ups. Price is $11.99 usd. Fantastic quality though, goddamn.
How did you browse the music? Do you create an account first to find the song? I wanna see what's on there.
Yea I created the account first since I figured I was gonna try it out anyway, started the trial and after that, it asked me to pick at least three artists to follow. Saw a whole bunch of stuff, including the one I uploaded last night, and figured it was good enough. Will definitely check it out more this afternoon and even look at the desktop app.
Edit: we should probably take this to dms lol dont wanna spam poor flabbergast's notifications anymore than we already have xD
