I'm planning on replaying the older Final Fantasy and Dragon Quest games, once my Trimui Smart Pro gets here sometime this month (instead of last month, thanks Canada Post)

Finally finish FF8. Currently in disc 2, and it’s not being kind in terms of enjoyment when compared to other FFs

Though I've played them before I plan on beating Morrowind and Oblivion. Other games I plan on playing/beating are the Fallout series (sans NV and "that" one), Baldur's Gate series, Chrono Trigger, Secret of Mana, Max Payne trilogy, Doom Eternal and pretty much my entire Steam back catalog.

I just recognised that my plans for 2025 a probably a bit to much for my time. I usualy do 2 Trails game a year to keep up with them, so i will pick up Trails into Revery this year. Not sure which will be the second, maybe nayuta as spinnoff or i heat into the next arc. Beside that i plan to play Phantom Brave: The Lost Hero. I try to give the Atelier series a second chance with Atelier Yumia: The Alchemist of Memories & the Envisioned Land. It looks interresting. Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 is something i pic up for sure. And if i have more time i play The Hundred Line: Last Defense Academy and Hellden from the newer games as well. Besides that i got a few new games with Octopath Traveler II and Diofield Chronicles i probably start to play soon. Maybe a retro game would be nice to start as well. So way to much for me to handle, as every year.

I don't plan on anything not yet released except for the Xenoblade Chronicles X remaster as my backlog grew immensly this christmas.

As for games already released, I plan on some or all of these (a.k.a. my backlog):

  • Baten Kaitos I & II
  • Metaphor
  • Super Mario RPG
  • Persona 4 Golden
  • SMT V Vengeance
  • Octopath 2
  • Star Ocean Second Story R

And, if you count it:

  • Nioh 2

If I'm really feeling it:

  • Utawamonogatari Trilogie
  • Labyrinth of Yomi

It's better to be a patient gamer, not like me.

I had a great time with Baten Kaitos 1, Metaphor, Super Mario RPG, and Persona 4. Been meaning to dive back into BK Origins.

Yeah, I've got a lot of great games coming up. It's awesome that I've been playing mostly JRPGs for over 20 years and just don't run out of great ones.

For upcoming releases, I have Trails through Daybreak 2, Final Fantasy VII Rebirth (PC version), Suikoden I & II HD Remaster, Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, and Ys X: Proud Nordics. Trails, Expedition 33, Ys are day 1 buys, and maybe Suiko depending on reviews; it's a little spendy for a remaster of games I've played multiple times. I'll be waiting for a big discount on Rebirth as there were a number of things I didn't like about Remake.

As for those already out, I think the most likely are one or two of Breath of Fire IV, Live a Live, Demons Roots, Atelier Escha & Logy, Devil Survivor Overlocked and something Rune Factory, whether it's finishing my replay of RF4, going on to 5, or trying the recent version of 3. Also haven't gotten around to Final Fantasy XVI yet, if that counts.
