His girlfriend tried so hard to report him over and over again and nothing happened. Even involving the parents of the abused children to get THEM to report too. It took years.

Don't Google his password.

I remember really liking the Lostprophets sound - some of the songs are absolute bangers - but the band and it's name are forever tainted now. What a massive shame for the other band members to have their livelihoods pissed out the window by some nonce.

I mean, it's a minor inconvenience compared the the lasting effects on the victims.

A horrible, horrible rabbit hole to go down.

edit: for the love of god, check which Ian Watkins you're googling too. The lad from Steps is a decent spud by all accounts.

Damn. Because too many will want to know after such an ominous statement: his password was "If***kids", without the censoring.

I feel like the actual things he did are worse than the password.

I agree. But somehow the password makes it even worse.

I loved "thefakesoundofprogress". It was different than conventional nu-metal bands in that it leaned more towards post-hardcore/emo.

Fortunately they kind of disappeared for a bit and resurfaced sounding like the shitty version of OneD. I didn't have to feel guilty listening to a band fronted by Peter Scully Jr.

I tend to mythologize bands I like, particularly as a teenager during those points. I'd even make websites for them if they're a little underrated and I liked them enough. Had Lostprophets continued to make great albums (reminiscent of their debut), I probably would have gone that route.

That piece of shit deserves to die in the least humane way possible. Slowly and painfully.

Edit: For people who don't know the utterly disgusting shit he did, I'll just say this.

He wanted to blow meth into the face of infants so he could use them as a sex toy while they were high.....

That's just one thing.

... was made aware by Watkins that he was abusing a two-year-old child in California whilst the band was recording in Los Angeles.

I hope he's getting his ordeal in prison.

I just... how does a drugged up rocker boy get access to a 2-year old? How can such a thing even happen?

I refuse to click that link, but IIRC one parent was a groupie.

Not nearly enough.

It'd be alright with me if he never made it out alive.
