Was changing the name of the church so reporters won't be able to easily make the connection the next time one of their youth pastors diddles a little kid?
I doubt it. Most Catholic churches have had the same name for decades
Laferty was the pastor at the Thompson United Methodist Church. The church now has a new name and pastor.
