Nominated, but Gaetz has already withdrawn. There is a big gap between the way you describe it and the way it is.
Okay... But it's still pretty telling when a rapist can inhabit the Whitehouse and appoint multiple sex offenders, even if one of them was only nominated and already withdrew. Like, the way that it is... is still really fucked up.
Republican Politicians are okay with this.
The party that RAGED and accused gay people of being child groomers accepts Gaetz.
If you are a Republican, understand that your party only has "values" when it's beneficial to them.
Next step is to have a little introspection and deduce exactly WHY Republicans are pushing these "values" , and how you are being manipulated.
Gaetz helped take down Kevin McCarthy and get Johnson in as Speaker. That was a real act of acquiring power and legitimizing the fascist wing in Congress.
To them, for that, Gaetz could have a little rape, as a treat.
This is the party of Q Anon conspiracy theorists who are convinced that every politician they do not like is a member of a shadowy cabal of powerful pedophiles...
But all the very obvious actual pedophiles don't count if they are Trump or are aligned with him, that's all lies.
Before I ghosted my insane, disfunctional family, I remember when this Gaetz news originally dropped.
My dad was convinced Tom Hanks' son raped murdered and ate children... based off of... ??? He never provided me any source.
I explained how Gaetz's close friend had been caught ... basically doing everything this new report says Gaetz was doing, and he more or less got either a plea deal or lighter sentence for providing a bunch of very incriminating info on Gaetz, and that Gaetz may very well end up in jail as an actual pedophile.
He just scoffed and changed the topic.
... So anyway yeah I guess I was a bit naive in thinking that our legal system would actually prosecute Gaetz...
But its most likely the case that Gaetz's pal provided at the very least the groundwork for this ethics committee report.
