I've got a streamlight microstream that I've had for a few years now. I really like the general size and power. It'd be super ideal if it had a very dim mode. I'm only really dissatisfied with the microusb charging.

Is there anything out there that I should be looking at? Ideally rechargeable with a pretty simple UI... Honestly that's about all I'm looking for. Any suggestions?

There is a new version of the Microstream that uses an AAAA cell, but is not of much interest imho. Oh hmm (I just looked it up). I had thought they had branded it as a new Microstream but apparently it's a new Nano. Either way, meh. It's about the same size as a Skilhunt E3A and uses a crazy battery format, i.e. forget it.

That size and I assume USB-C charging (though you didn't say so explicitly) has very few options. There's the Cloud Defensive Chicro, and... that's about it aside form a couple lights with non-removable batteries.

A little bigger and the options open up some. Accept a battery you charge outside of the flashlight (optionally using USB-C), and the options open up quite a bit. The Acebeam Pokelit is inexpensive, has good color rendering, and about three times the energy capacity of the Microstream.

Oh wow. Both of these are sort of amazing. I hadn't really expected something so spot on. That's awesome. Thank you so much.
