A tale as old as time, women love a man who protects them from monsters.

it's going to be hilarious if he's innocent, and women try to date him like "you know, my dad's got such and such insurance, why don't you kill that CEO?" and he has to remind them he didn't actually do it, and watch them dry up immediately.

I don't get the "bumble exploded" joke. But glad to hear they are still cheering for Luigi.

Bumble is a dating app like Tinder but the twist is that only women can start the conversation (in a hetro match on the app).

The joke is that Luigi is so popular and hot that him arriving in New York triggered a sudden rush by women to (re)download the app that Bumble's servers were overloaded and therefore exploded.

Thank you for explaining the joke. The only issue I have with it, I don't think Luigi has his phone right now.

No worries 😊 sometimes you have to dissect a joke to understand and it can be an interesting learning experience for how comedy, a core part of human communication and interaction works. Very useful to if one struggles with understanding human social interactions, like I do, so I have to learn it.

He might not have a phone but he also could as they have found contraband smartphones in prisons before. Either way he's not going to be able to meet with anyone from Bumble but that's a stretch of reality that also forms part of the punchline.
