Can't manage to start an actual game on SteamDeck yet, they did mention that controller/SteamDeck support wasn't quite there.
I get into the menus but can't quite get past the traits screen. They will fix it, maybe sooner?
Tried proton experimental?
Hell yeah, time to get gored by a dear or something

As any Zomboid player knows, you either play for 5 minutes or 500 hours, there is no inbetween.
And in hour 500 your high-level character dies to some random branch scratching his neck as they walk though the woods.
This is how you died
Or from getting bathroom horded.
or from the guy who barely "survived" a zombie attack who turned right next to you while you were afk because the door bell rang.
i never was that guy, i sweare!
I'm currently playing a character that's been alive for nearly 6 months. My fridge is full of fish and I'm only like a level 5 on fishing. Won't need to learn hunting for awhile but this will be great for characters that reside further away from a body of water.
ooooh my! What a treat! Have fun everyone!
