I played it in the beginning. It felt like what you paid for: a free monster hunter wannabe game. Not bad if you expected nothing from it, pretty bad if you expected a full fleshed out monster hunter experience.

It was the things they removed from Monster Hunter that I appreciated at the time.
Calling it a rival is generous, even before this shitshow.
Found a clip with a message from the devs to the naysayers:
I didn't even know that game was still active. It was kinda okay-ish when I played some years ago.
