This is an objective, unbiased ranking in the same vein as the NFL Title Belt. As such, the number 1 ranked team will always be the same as the current NFL Title Belt holder.

This is Week 13 of the NFL Title Rankings of the 2024 season. See here for last week’s rankings.

6 of the 16 games ended with the lower ranked team winning. No teams went down in rank after jumping another team.

The Bills beat the 49ers to keep the NFL Title Belt and first ranking. The Rams will have a chance to take the title belt in week 14

The Raiders are still last after their loss to the Chiefs. The Raiders will have a chance to move out from last in week 14 when they play the Bucs.

Let me know if you’d like to see more of this, if you’re curious about how I came up with these rankings, or if you noticed any mistakes.

Ranking 2024 Wk13 Δ Notes
1 Bills -- The Bills beat the 49ers to keep the NFL Title Belt and first.
2 Chiefs --
3 Eagles +13 The Eagles jumped 13 spots by beating the Ravens.
4 Ravens -1
5 Chargers -1
6 Rams +13 The Rams jumped 13 spots by beating the Saints.
7 Saints -2
8 Broncos +18 The Broncos jumped 18 spots by beating the Browns.
9 Browns -3
10 Steelers -3
11 Lions -3
12 Packers -3
13 Seahawks -3
14 Vikings +8 The Vikings jumped 8 spots by beating the Cardinals.
15 Cardinals -4
16 Colts -4
17 Jets -4
18 Commanders -- The Commanders maintained their rank by beating and jumping the Titans.
19 Titans -5
20 Texans -5
21 Cowboys -4
22 Dolphins -2
23 Patriots -2
24 Bears -1
25 Jaguars -1
26 49ers -1
27 Falcons --
28 Bengals --
29 Bucs +1 The Bucs jumped 1 spot by beating the Panthers.
30 Panthers -1
31 Giants --
32 Raiders -- The Raiders remain last until their next win.

This ranking assumes that there are never any fluke games and all teams are appropriately ranked. If you beat a team that is higher ranked than you, you move ahead of them and they move down one spot. However, other teams can jump in front of teams that are higher ranked than you, moving you further down the rankings.

Bonus rankings! This one is more straightforward. Teams get points for wins. They get more points for beating good teams and fewer points for beating bad teams. (+32 for beating the best team, +1 for beating the worst). Teams lose points for losses. They lose more points for losing to bad teams and fewer points for losing to good teams. (-32 for losing to the worst team, -1 for losing to the best). The point total was reset with the first game of the season.

This is better. I don't understand how the lions rank 11 on the other list.

12-1 best record in the NFL. With 18 players on injured reserve. 13 being defense.

The other list is meant to be chaotic and fun. If the Raiders had beaten the Chiefs, the Raiders would have moved to second. It kinda shows that anyone can beat anyone while vaguely being good at showing teams further down haven't beat anybody good.

The bonus ranking is an attempt at an actual ranking weighted by difficulty.

Ah. Thanks. Had no clue what it was about.
