Opposition, which controls parliament, had been blocking the presidents agenda. President goes nuclear and declares martial law and orders the arrest of the opposition. Army begins to storm parliament and blocks lawmakers from entering. Politicians literally climb the fence to break into parliament while aides fight police in the halls with chairs and fire extinguishers. Parliament votes to suspend martial law and the army just… says “ah darn ok” and goes home, and the president ends martial law
A coup, like Jan 6 in the USA (and similarly unsuccessful).
well at least this time it was only conducted by the president and his military, not by citizens
