The reason they gave for the tracking of their employees private communications and location even when not at work is "health and safety reasons".

"This is for your protection" seems to be the go-to corporate bad faith argument these days.

Apple holds Wellness Challenges. You group up into teams to compete to meet your own wellness goals. It’s completely voluntary.

The only restrictions on speech are standard internal conduct requirements and agreement to keep Apple internal information confidential according to the Intellectual Property agreement.

Remember when the prototype iPhone4 got left at a bar and ended up with a ~~Wired~~ Gizmodo reporter? That was an interesting story.

Well here's the story about losing it but I was thinking about the reporter's complete story which I understand was published by Gawker. And thus is gone.
