Historical Artifacts

Just a community for everyone to share artifacts, reconstructions, or replicas for the historically-inclined to admire!

Generally, an artifact should be 100+ years old, but this is a flexible requirement if you find something rare and suitably linked to an era of history, not a strict rule. Anything over 100 is fair game regardless of rarity.

Generally speaking, ruins should go to [email protected]

Illustrations of the past should go to [email protected]

Photos of the past should go to [email protected]

From a great article on the hunga munga:

The "Hunga Munga" or Mambele originates from Africa, and is a genre of knives which were used in both hand-to-hand combat, and for throwing over long distances.

I mean, I'm sure if I threw it it would go wide by a large margin regardless of target.

Collateral damage might be a problem though.

generally built with an iron blade, a reward site and a curved section towards the back of the weapon

To be allowed to access the reward site, you have to catch it by the handle, or something.

I had no idea AI had been used back then to design weapons.
