Shoko is the only nonstandard plugin I use.

I haven't heard of Shoko. How is it different from metadata grabbers like AniDB and AniList? The website makes it seem like it just uses AniDB to tag your episodes and series.

It organizes and renames files and also syncs your watch statuses for shows. Basically it works as a complete library management tool. It also checks the file hashes for anime against AniDB, so it's more reliable at getting the metadata right.

I use Sonarr to handle naming so I'd imagine this wouldn't play nicely with it right?

I struggled for a long time to find a way to have One Piece to show in Jellyfin with the absolute episode numbers, and even though I found a way it wasn't worth the tradeoff for me. I now just deal with TVDB organizing (S22E37 which is actually E1122 for instance) and just be at peace with it.

Yeah, I'm in the same boat, otherwise I'd be pretty interested in Shoko and Shokofin

Those:

Mainly:
Playback Reporting - I love pretty graphs and it also helped me straighten my trakt feed from duplicates.
AppleMusic/CoverArt Archive/MusicBrainz - Music Metadata
Trakt - Playback Tracking
Spotify Import - Import Playlist from Spotify

Current disabled: YT metadata downloader. I run jellyfin in a container and would need to redo the image with yt-dlp or somehow pass the locally installed dlp package. Neither I am particularly interested in so I disabled it until I decide to refresh my metadata.

Subtitles are handled usually manually with bazarr (as an import but sometimes also a search tool)
Everything else is done with *arr.

Since the seek thumbnail thing was integrated, none.

Mainly,

  • Playback Reporting & Reports
  • Subbuzz - for downloading subtitles
  • LrcLib - For downloading lyrics (for now disabled, waiting for it to get better)
  • Session Cleaner - useful thing
[–] [email protected] 1 points 2 months ago (1 children)

How does Subbuzz compare to Bazarr?

[–] Krafting 3 points 2 months ago

It's more for on the fly download when a movie doesn't have subs, it's great cause it's fast and you only need Jellyfin. It's not for the same usages

[–] AMillionMonkeys 3 points 2 months ago (1 children)

I would be using Fintube for Youtube integration, but it's broken :-(

[–] Krafting 3 points 2 months ago

You might wanna checkout TubeArchivist and their Jellyfin plugin maybe!

[–] [email protected] 2 points 2 months ago

Session cleaner

Tvdb box sets

[–] [email protected] 0 points 2 months ago (1 children)

none because i use a seedbox :(

[–] [email protected] 6 points 2 months ago (2 children)

Could you clarify? I'm not sure I understand. Don't see how using a seedbox has to do with using Jellyfin plug-ins.

I'm going to guess their provider has a very uncustomisable setup

[–] [email protected] 2 points 2 months ago

yeah as ryan said, can't install any since the provider doesn't allow it
