Ivory on my iPhone, iPad, and Mac.

Ice Cubes. It's open source and free! Best one by far!

Mastodon because it works.

Didn't even bother looking if alternatives existed, glad to see some listed here though. Will have to try them in the future.

Same. If only there were alternatives to lemmy…

[–] [email protected] 1 points 2 years ago

Try mlem, currently in testflight beta. Pretty basic still but way better than the webapp, if you ask me.

[–] PuffyPanda 1 points 2 years ago (1 children)

Was gonna say the same thing, but glad alternatives exist. I’m not active enough of a user for the differences to matter.

Now, if only there were iPhone apps for Lemmy…

[–] [email protected] 1 points 2 years ago

Well, there is mlem, currently in testflight beta…

I use Mona both on iOS and Mac. Great for multiple accounts, I use it for my Mastodon and Akkoma accounts.

Ivory, definitely

@SuburbanHaikuist @rebiots just the free Mastodon app.

[–] grimer 3 points 2 years ago (1 children)

Mona has worked very well for me on all 3 of my devices, mac, phone, ipad.

[–] skullvalanche 2 points 2 years ago

Mona is great on mobile!

I use https://elk.zone on desktop though.

metatext. Only other I've tried was Ivory, but I didn't get the hype

I have been using Mammoth, since it was in TestFlight, but weirdly I feel like following the official release it has gotten progressively more buggy and unstable so I’ve been resorting to the Mastodon App more and more lately. But I can’t find a way to post GIFs in that, so I’m currently sort of jumping around between Mastodon’s App, Mammoth and Metatext for posting GIFs.

Ivory right now - love the look & feel of the app but it seems to be improving quite slowly. Glad to see this post to find some new apps to try.

Started with the official app and not had any reason to look for anything else

I have Mona, IceCubes, and Ivory installed on my iPhone. I primarily use Mona because it has the features I find useful (and I love creating themes). Ivory is nice for passive scrolling but is still missing a ton of features that I find necessary for using Reddit. IceCubes has a surprisingly nice UI, a couple of things even Mona doesn’t have, and is open source.

IMO, these three apps are the best for Mastodon on ios. I also want to support the developers.

[–] leon_tx 1 points 2 years ago

I use Mona on both iOS and MacOS, mostly because Ivory only supports the latest MacOS, and my 2015 beast is stuck on Monterey. I'd rather have Ivory, but, you know, integration.

I use Toot! I tried pretty much every Mastodon app when I migrated and Toot! seemed to work best for me.

[–] irishbreakfast 1 points 2 years ago

Mammoth is a solid free option. Ivory is the best experience I’ve had so for, though.

What do you think of radiant?

[–] SulaymanF 1 points 2 years ago

Official app is good, but I use Ivory now.

Also, Buffer lets you queue and schedule posts.

Woolly and Ivory

[–] [email protected] 1 points 2 years ago

Just made my way over to Mastodon recently so have been using the standard app for now, might try out some other apps down the line but I haven't come across anything I can't do yet

[–] simlay 1 points 2 years ago

I've been using mastoot for a while now and like it okay. I wish threads/replys were rendered more similar to twitter but eh. It's a free app with a free website so I really can't complain.

[–] Kuchufluscus 1 points 2 years ago

Ice Cubes. Simple to use and fast. Last, it´s free

[–] fperson 1 points 2 years ago

Toot! I always loved it. So much so that I even purchased all the in-app extras to support the dev.

[–] kylewritescode 1 points 2 years ago

I use both Mona and Ivory across all my Apple devices.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 2 years ago

@rebiots Ivory but I have the Fedia.io website saved to my Home Screen

[–] izalac 1 points 2 years ago

I've been using Tootle for years
