You could tax the 1% enough to fix the entire world easily and they would still have enough money to live ridiculously lavish lives of luxury that even the upper middle class could only dream of. They still put a ridiculous amount of resources into making sure that never happens.

That class of people shouldn’t exist. It’ll be the death of us all.

They have always existed once humanity developed the concept of personal ownership. They were either religious leaders, nobles, business owners, or some other position where they could consolidate wealth and power. The ratio has waxed and waned over time in different places, but it takes effort and enforced laws to close that gap for a period of time before it starts to widen again.

We do need to treat them as a threat and act accordingly.

They surely treat plebs as their enemy. I don't understand how Westoid normie accepts the arrangement esp in context of modern dystopian realities.

We let dystopian fiction and history lessons dull us to the danger instead of respecting them as the warnings that they originally were.

If you live in Seattle, you have the opportunity to make this a reality by voting yes on Prop 1A in the February election. Prop 1A would create a 5% excess compensation payroll tax for businesses that pay individual employees more than $1 million. The money is then allocated to build and renovate housing that is publicly owned and available to all income brackets. Please remember to vote https://www.letsbuildsocialhousing.org/

I feel like taxing the rich repeatedly, severely, and just for fun can help fix a LOT.

Yeah bruh, no way are you going to tax the rich. You gotta take a different approach to get their money. Nahmean?
