Let me get this straight. You dictate what you can and cannot say based on which party is in the white house?
Maybe I just don't understand racism more than I thought. I had no idea there were a subset of rules which dictate when it's ok to be racist, and when it's socially unacceptable.
Because to me, it's ALWAYS socially unacceptable.

Club Random is a podcast where Bill gets high as shit and makes jokes while bullshitting with a guest who may or may not also be high as shit. I wouldn't take it too seriously.
When someone makes racist jokes, take it seriously. There's not a forum where it's okay to make racist jokes. I've also been high as shit and I used to be a comedian and I've never told a racist joke while high as shit. It really isn't had to not be racist.
Nothing about what he said was racist. He was making a joke with a guest who was black. It was well received by the guest. Clutch your pearls harder, lol
Strange that a lot of other people seem to disagree here.
Also, I'm not sure why you think you can't make a racist joke with a black guest or why you think a black guest must necessarily not like a racist joke.

You may like it, you may not, but it's just a joke, no need to get panties in a twist, no need to clutch the pearls, there are other actual problems in this world that could use that.
"It's just a joke" is the same thing Trump fans say every time he also says something racist.
Also, I'm not sure why you think reporting on what a politically weird person does in the Political Weirdos community is clutching at pearls.

There is a difference
Maher is a comedian who is known for having sharp opinions and things he says. It's not always a hit and some of his opinions (hello covid) are outright stupid, bit in the end he is just that: a comedian.
trump is (and I can't believe im actually having to write this) again president of the US.
When Maher says something, you and I can have a disagreement about the importance of it. When trump says something, he can end the fucking world.
I gettit and believe me, you and I are more alike than were different. I just have a high tolerance for comedy and jokes, I laught about Hitler jokes when I know the guy is joking
