Speaking for myself, I will never set foot in the Elysian location in Capitol Hill after this, purchase any Elysian beer, or for that matter anything Anheuser-Busch makes.

And if you personally know of any work available involving technical writing, logistics/procurement, industrial process data management, recipe scaling, or similar stuff, please let me know because a really good friend of mine is out of a job because of this union busting bullshit

Every major brewery/distillery in Canada is union.

Can you ask your friend if AB even offered a relocation to cap hill?

These fuckheads seem to think the incoming presidential dunce is going to protect the company instead of good people unionizing I'm guessing, seems pretty brazen.

Yeah, I can ask. That facility is tiny - from what I understand it only makes what is sold there? The 'investment' noted in the article is bad faith key jangling meant to distract from the relatively way bigger job loss at the actual production facility. I can't imagine there's capacity for many transfers.

Oh yeah, it's tiny, like maybe 25 tables and some booths. Eh I don't know why I even asked about asking your buddy. Maybe it'll job their memory to write stuff down for the anti-union case?

Enshittification in the real world.

God, corporate America is so fucked. Starbucks, Amazon, Microsoft, Boeing, Google. That's a quick, off-the-top-of-the-head list of LOCAL companies that have bought in on aggressive union busting in the last few years. There are infinitely more national brands that decided that execs making fast profits is more important than workers' livelihoods.

Just look at what Rodger May did to Peter Pan Seafoods. Perfect example of cutthroat capitalist bullshit. Thousands of jobs lost, skyrocketing prices for consumers, bargain prices for the guy who caused it.

I haven't drank Elysian since they sold out to AB. I used to do their Great Pumpkin Beerfest every year. Such a waste of a great local company. Fuck AB.

So much for being a local brand
