I bought on of these metal sticks to install in the shower and was the crappiest shit I ever bought. Fortunately I was able to send it back and get my money back.

Do a search for shower curtain rod clawfoot tub. You will find the correct solution to this problem.
Otherwise it looks like a cold shower no matter how hot the water gets 🥶

I sent them a text with the picture and they called me concerned because they thought it was for one of my clients. Very relieved that it wasn't lol. They said if they showed up at your house to work on it, they would immediately turn around and leave.
My personal opinion is that everything is made up so don't worry about standards, unless you're trying to sell your house.
