Raivo, the beloved open source authenticator app for iOS, have been acquired by Mobime as stated in their recent tweet.

Raivo states: "Rest assured, nothing will change for you, except for more support and development on the Raivo ecosystem".

This still raises questions for privacy implications and their revenue model. If you use Raivo, will you continue to do so?

An alternative I found for Raivo is 2FAS, which recently open-sourced its app.

Available on both Android and iOS.

I probably will. Tofu may look better but only Raivo allows me to tap the otp and share it to the mac clipboard. This is HUGE convenience. If I do not hear bad things about that company, I'll stick to raivo.

I don’t believe that tweet. Why would a company with limited transparency purchase a source available app?

Developer name for Raivo has been updated to Mobime on app stores, https://apps.apple.com/ca/app/raivo-authenticator/id1459042137
