These cards look to be a massive ripoff.
They didn't even mention pricing and the 5080 is faster and less power hungry then the 4090? How is that a "massive ripoff"?
It is totally nuts that they are charging the cost of a full computer for the price of one of their 80 series graphics cards. These cards should be in the $500 to $600. They have just continued the covid price rape. It is not acceptable.
So ... You have no source, just a feeling that because the 4000 series was really expensive the 5000 series is also going to be really expensive.
I think, even without a source, that's it's pretty much a given that each generation of cards is going to be about the same price as the last, possibly adding in some more for inflation.
Also, the xx80s and xx90s were always for gamers with insane expectations. The xx60s and xx70s are much more reasonable and are still amazing. Anyone complaining about the prices of the top end cards should just re-evaluate what they need instead of grumbling about prices.
My frustration is they said "it's going to be a massive ripoff" in response to an article that says absolutely nothing about price with 0 context to where they got pricing information.
Mores law released a video with the expected prices for the 5000 series.
Cool, thanks for not citing it beforehand or linking to it.
At some point, these are going to be too big for motherboards. I wonder what mounting solution is next. Would positioning them outside the case with a ribbon cable be a problem timing wise?
You shoulda saw me trying to shoehorn that 4070ti in. Things the size of a schoolbus.
I had to take apart my case to get my 4090 in

Doubt it, you can already get some fucking Long ones for mounting your GPU in weird places right now, if you want
