Oh that’s OK, ICANN has made sure that domains are meaningless now so that they can make more money. Elon can always buy x.org., x.blog, x.net, x.us, x.x — or a gajillion other domains that will just confuse everyone about which one is legit.

Seems to be working now. It brought me to the sign in screen for the site formally known as Twitter.
