From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Linux is a family of open source Unix-like operating systems based on the Linux kernel, an operating system kernel first released on September 17, 1991 by Linus Torvalds. Linux is typically packaged in a Linux distribution (or distro for short).

Distributions include the Linux kernel and supporting system software and libraries, many of which are provided by the GNU Project. Many Linux distributions use the word "Linux" in their name, but the Free Software Foundation uses the name GNU/Linux to emphasize the importance of GNU software, causing some controversy.

Ugh I can't wrap my mind around how weird and unintuitive GIMP feels to use

longstanding critics of the UI/UX will be pleased to hear that GIMP are setting up a UX repository and are looking to build a dedicated team of designers to develop this

Anybody know if we'll ever get a real timeline? As in a GUI element for Animating where you add frames?

I would recommend Krita for that.

Probably pretty unlikely, as there's a lot of improvements left to do for image editing. I'd imagine animation tooling is a very low priority since other tools built for this purpose handle it better than is possible without lots of work.

Out of interest, how do you export your animation?
