The sole purpose of this community is to discuss Israeli and Palestinian issues. It is not the place for hurling insults, rehashing grudges, or making up history. Any conversation that veers into the "if only your people had" realm will be deleted or locked right away. I started this community in the potentially fruitless hope that we may have a civil conversation about this issue.
Rules:
- References to historical events must include a reputable source. The definition of reputable is up to the mods. Keep that in mind.
- Articles from reputable sources only.
- No name-calling. That's what DMs are for. /s
- Keep it in English. If I don't understand the word, it gets removed. Obvious exceptions would be the use of proper names and references. For example, "wadi" when used to refer to a place is acceptable.
- Discussions that are heading into the probability of becoming a flame war will be locked.
- Repeat offenders will be forced to find another community.
- Anti-Zionism is ok. Anti-Semitism is not.
- Whataboutism is for toddlers. Try to grow up.
- Posting articles about current events is encouraged. Posting the same story from 20 different sources is not.
- Posting an article purely for the purpose of saying "Look what monsters they are" is discouraged unless it can generate an honest discussion. This is probably the most difficult rule to follow.
- No calling anyone a terrorist.
- No YouTube links. Some of us can read.

I am sorry can someone summarise it for me? Is this dude telling us that 7 October akshually was Israeli killing 1200 Israelis? Just asking to be sure
So, this dude weaseling out of and dodging questions concerning the responsibility of Hamas, Hisbollah etc, arguing that it was Israel who killed the October 7th victims in a video that cuts away every time somebody starts to call him out is supposed to "take apart" the moderator? Sorry, but no.
Showing up on Morgan's self-titled show, helping him get views, ratings, clout, and money is taking him down?
Pretty sure that's not how it works.
Lots of good points made, but hard to tell if he “takes apart piers” when we only hear one side of the conversation. It seems like piers even tries to agree with him, but we don’t get to hear it.
He stays calm, I'll give him that. But repeating Palestinian propaganda is not "relentlessly taking apart Piers Morgan."
The Hannibal Directive is not, as he claims, "where Israel takes measures to kill captives." It simply gives operatives permission to fire on enemies who have taken captives even if doing so puts those captives at risk. This is a subtle but very important difference.
Second, although there is evidence that the Hannibal Directive was implemented in a very limited number of cases, there is absolutely no proof that it resulted in "hundreds" of Israeli civilian deaths as he claims. The IDF had such a small number of helicopter gunships in the area because of their delayed response that they simply couldn't have killed such a large number of civilians.
Third, it is irrelevant. Even if it were true that, say, 300 civilians died under Israeli fire, that still leaves 900 civilians murdered by Hamas. Does that make their barbaric orgy of violence less morally reprehensible? Are they somehow not evil anymore because they only butchered 900 people rather than the full 1200?
This propaganda is just one of the many, many attempts used by Palestinian activists to paint Israel and the IDF as amoral monsters that have no respect for even the lives of their own people. It's nothing but dehumanization.
