Pete is adding so much humor here, I'm glad he was included in the screenshot

God, I hate that meme format so much. It adds absolutely fucking nothing. It's insufferable.

Standard bluesky post

It's notable that Pete is using bluesky at least..

I've been doing my best to crop out twitter stuff from memes and comics before I send them on. If you post on Twitter you deserve no attribution. The site needs to die.

I think if you post someone else's comic without adding anything to it, you deserve no attribution either. Pete is getting attention for something he didn't do.

If it were Tumblr, he'd be the "I reblog this every time" comment at the bottom of the screenshot. If it were tiktok, he'd be the guy green screened in front of the comic pointing and saying nothing. And it were early internet, he'd be the guy downloading it from SomethingAwful and adding a watermark of his website.

But really, I don't have a problem with Pete. The thing that irrationally bugs me is including him in the screenshot when the only content is the comic itself. BUT...whenever I see these, I assume it's the person adding nothing who took the screenshot. It's marketing..."please follow me on social media, I want to be an influencer"

In order to muster an appropriate level of outrage I'd have to know what skin colour that baby was.

[–] [email protected] 11 points 1 month ago* (last edited 1 month ago) (2 children)

Try being a little more understanding please. What happens if the baby was brown but born to a western allied nation? Or if it's white but born to a country that isn't in NATO? You can't just go through life judging solely on skin color. Political climate of the country the baby was born in is also very important.

[–] [email protected] 5 points 1 month ago

Or what if the baby was x color but didn't like peanut butter!

[–] Diplomjodler3 2 points 1 month ago

True. I mean, if the baby was a Hamas supporter, that would put it all in a totally different light, wouldn't it?

Medium rare.

This isn't even much of an exaggeration.

  • NYPD shoot 4 people for someone not paying subway fare
  • Pesto the chubby baby penguin
  • RFK Jr. dumping a bear in central park after planning on eating it/Biden sending bombs to Israel to kill babies
  • Kittens
