Discussion of climate, how it is changing, activism around that, the politics, and the energy systems change we need in order to stabilize things.
As a starting point, the burning of fossil fuels, and to a lesser extent deforestation and release of methane are responsible for the warming in recent decades:
How much each change to the atmosphere has warmed the world:

Makes as much sense as installing a smoke detector in your house then using your bbq indoors and acting surprised when you hear the alarm.
I would say that the bbq is already on and the ceiling is going black, and then the alarm is installed.
That is a better analogy!
Does this mean we're at the "We know it's happening and climate change is real but we still need to prioritize stockholders money over peoples lives" stage and we're done with "Climate change isn't real you stupid hippie"?
No, itβs to give the illusion that something is being done.
:(
Isn't the alarm system climate scientists? It is going off, and nobody is doing anything other than ignoring it.
This study is trying to reduce uncertainty around current theories, it's more science by scientists. Uncertainty makes it harder to build effective policy.
These days, how many people react when a car alarm goes off? Other than "Can somebody stop that alarm?"
Lol captain hindsight got some funding
