Looks like an abundance of caution, which is a good thing. FDA says the levels were higher than permitted but unlikely to cause illness.

Or could cause illness if you drank too much.

No doubt but who's out there chugging apple juice. Some kids maybe but that makes it worse. Good point.

Well, as a parent, I limit the amount of juice anyway (we currently don't have any at home) because they're chalk full of sugar. I'm hopeful that other parents do something similar, or at least vary the types of sugary drinks their kids get.

Reading the ingredients on "juice" is terrifying. Worse than soda. If your kids eat a lot of ketchup there is no sugar added ketchup available now and it's so much better than regular in both taste and nutrition.

Ingredients for juice is generally just juice. Are you talking about nutrition information instead? If so, yeah, it's basically 100% sugar, because that's what fruit is, and it removes the most important part of fruit: the fiber. So we don't have much juice at our house.

I'll have to check out the no sugar added ketchup. We don't have a ton of ketchup, but have it occasionally when we make burgers or chicken nuggets (maybe 1-2x each per month).
