The issue here and I'm not trying to be rude cause I know theists genuinely believe that they're right and in that belief really do want to "save" others. I can sadly inform you that no single thing has made more atheists of Christians that the reading and comprehending the "Bible" nothing not friends not ignorance if you want to make someone Atheist ask them to really read the Bible with an open mind and considering all they know of reality and morality. Most come out atheist or at the least ex-christians looking for a new religion. Same goes for all supposed religious tomes.

If ye be reproached for the name of Christ, happy are ye; for the spirit of glory and of God resteth upon you: on their part he is evil spoken of, but on your part he is glorified. - 1 Peter 4:14

Atheists promoting Bible reading, this is the best idea I've heard in a very long time! I really hope this is a thing and not just trolling. You gotta wonder though, what is someone who calls themselves a "Christian" but has never read the Bible? And if someone would do that, what does it mean when they call themselves something else?
It's a thing most true atheists have read religious texts. I personally have read the Bible multiple times cover to cover. I've also read to the Quran and I'ching. The thing that's hardest to understand about atheism for most theists I've found personally. Is that it's not an alternative to faith and belief it's t the e absence of. It's not I believe in Y instead of X it's I just didn't believe in X .
But yes I'd advise any theists of any religion. Read your religious text, but don't let someone else tell you what it means what it's trying to say. Read what it actually says there on the page and come to your own conclusions
That is sound advice! No arguments here!
