It means it can measure your forehead but it will only give the direct temperature of your forehead instead of estimated body temperature.
Yeah, that's what I'd expect, surface temperature. It's not a probe.
I forgot this gimmick... Did Google drop it on the Pixel 9?
Despite its limited benefits, the sensor is a part of the Pixel 9 Pro series, though it has not received any hardware upgrades.
