Why not just say billionaires?

It doesn't matter where their money came from. They're not supporting him because they made their money in tech, they're supporting him because they want a republican to win and RFK Jr might be dumb enough to run third party in the general and help trump.

That's OP's point. Republican candidates have gone so far to the right that RFK looks like a mild Republican in comparison.
