Amidst our climate crisis, this is the kind of move we need. Small step for Washington, giant leap for nuclear in our grid decarbonization mission.

Yeah, as much as I'd like to avoid nuclear energy, the rate at which climate change is starting to accelerate make that hard to avoid. Nuclear, at this point, is needed as a stepping stone to truly green and renewable energy.

If they have to put tlexperimental tractors anywhere, abutting Hanford Site is as good a spot as you're gonna get.

Yeah, its not like they could make it that much worse.

Great news, and they chose a great location.

Glad to see us move away from coal, nuclear power may not be perfect but this is the way to go for us; for obvious reasons solar panels wouldn’t output shit 80% of the year, the windmills are working wonders in eastern WA but west of the cascades the winds are unharnessably slow except for 2-3 weeks each winter, and more hydroelectricity would doom our fishing industry as salmon is among our biggest exports and we have it for breakfast, lunch and dinner. And it’s nowhere near as dangerous as it’s cracked up to be.

Aren't there already a couple sitting around that were mothballed?
