They don't despawn. Also, enemies are not simulated when you're past a certain distance away from them (not very far at all considering how big the map is) so even if you wait it out a few in-game days it'll be right where it was if you try to portal back in
Valheim
I went through naked and was fortunate enough to flee and crouch in some shrubs while the monster fought some goblins. It promptly crushed my workbench, portal and boat, but I was able to rebuild them as soon as it left the area. Really glad those goblins were there.
Yea.mistlands is brutal right off the bat, and even once your fully geared your still gonna have to stay on your toes at night. God forbid a 2 star seeker finds you
That's the situation my wife and I last logged off with. Got killed a ways in, away from our portal, by a group of seekers. 2-star, 1-star, and one of two regular ones. Logged off in a rage and have no idea how we're going to manage that recovery with our spare Mountains-tier gear. Going to have to run it naked with a wisp and try to bait them away until one of us can secure their things.
Funnily enough that'll probably work out ok. I can't verify but it seems the enemies have as hard a time seeing through the mist as you do if you don't have a whisp equipped.
Also don't build a base on the mist.....I had a pretty good one but..... Those goddamn gjall. It doesn't matter how strong,.or how elaborate you defenses when they can just drop legions of ticks on your top floor
Unless you’re playing hardcore you can just drop all your stuff and go through the portal naked.
Then when the beast comes to kill you, waggle your bits at it and hop back through the portal to safety.
I think you found a seeker soldier. You gotta hit its ass for maximum damage.
They're pretty fun to fight once you get the hang of their attack pattern. If there's two of you, one can bait and the other can damage. I like using frost weapons to slow its movement.
