20+ years ago, my PUBLIC high school history teacher busted Zinn’s book out during class, https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/A_People%27s_History_of_the_United_States. Definitely an eye opener but these days he would probably have a bunch of Karen parents complaining about it.
