Israel’s health ministry said the samples “raise concerns about the presence of the virus in this region”. It added that Israeli health authorities were “monitoring and evaluating necessary steps to prevent the risk of disease in Israel”.

additional quotes might improve the sentiment of that paragraph, but I don't think they were forthcoming from the Israeli health ministry.

Israel is giving their soldiers polio shots instead of letting clean water into Gaza. "Problem solved".

If polio is a problem, the problem is that people aren't vaccinated. So yeah, that's what they should be doing. They should also be vaccinating the Palestinians.

Also, pretty much every army vaccinates its soldiers. As well they should. I don't know why you would be advocating for them to be unvaccinated, thus enabling them to spread disease.

He's highlighting the hypocrisy. Israel is directly responsible for the prevalence of this disease during this genocide.

Polio used to kill or paralyse about a million people a year. It is highly infectious and once you get it, it has no cure.

The world had almost suceeded in eradicating polio. It is easily preventable with vaccination. The fact that it is likely to be allowed to roam through the population of Gaza is disgusting.
